STATIONERY products are offered with an excellent print service from our studio to your door. Soft watercolor thick paper stock with a subtle texured quality for Cid Pear and recycled materials for smoother stock papers. We maintain an outside of the box aesthetic which is albeit classic and sophisicated but trend setting in paper. Do you offer samples?

Please feel free to order a sample of any stationery product. It will come with printed text to illustrate our paper, printing and design. We offer samples for a nominal fee of $3. Make sure you are specific in requesting samples by style #.

Do you ship to International Addresses?

Yes, we ship samples to international addresses via USPS International First Class. Please allow 10 business days for delivery. Other shipping methods are available upon request. Ordering

What is the minimum amount of cards I have to order?

Most of our products have a minimum order quantity of 25 and are sold in increments of five. Our photocards are a minimum of 20 cards, and sold in increments of 10.

What is the largest order size you can handle?

You may order up to 1000 cards. Just call our customer service team at 1-919.848.4255, email us at paper@cidpear.com and we will be happy to assist you.

How long does it take to receive my cards after I order them?

An estimated processing time for all stationery orders is as follows: within 24 business hours, Monday through Friday EST we will send you a digital proof of your ordered card based on your card customizer proof and our designers perfecting your card. Your 24 hours begins at 12:00am on the first business day after your order is placed. For an order placed at 5:00pm EST on Monday, Tuesday will be the first day of the 24 hour processing time, if both days are regular business days. If it's friday when you order your stationery, you will not see a proof until Monday the following week if it is not a holiday of some sort.

Reproofing will take another 24 business hours after we receive changes and then we take 5-7 business days to process your stationery order, before shipping, once it is approved. Larger orders over 500 cards will take 14 days prior to shipping and photocards usually take 14 days prior to shipping, to process after approval.

If you select RUSH processing on your order, your proof will still come within 24 business hours, and processing time is reduced to 3 business days prior to shipping.

How much and what does it mean to RUSH an order?

Rush Processing costs $40.00. Rush processing does not include shipping transit time. Look for the rush processing button on all product pages. Rush processing reduced printing time to 3 business days and not 5-7 days, photocards to 7 days and not 14 days.

Do you offer PRINTED / DIGITAL proofs?

We offer complimentary digital full color proofs for all stationery orders. After the first complimentary proof we charge an additional $4.99 a proof. The proof is sent within 24 business hours after you place your order. Once you receive your proof please review it and formally approve it via email return.

Shipping and delivery estimated days assume approval the same day it is proofed via email, so if you wait 3 days to approve the order please remember this will extend your processing time by 3 days. Please note that we cannot complete or print an order until the proof is approved.

When we send a digital proof, we attach a readable pdf copy of the card in your email. If we don't hear from you within 12 hours we contact you via phone to ensure you received the proof. Return the email with 'approved' and we will proceed to printing with an estimated ship date.

Can I place a reorder?

Absolutely you can and many people do with us so we keep a digital file of your order on record for any future ordering. We will need to reprocess your payment information because we don't save credit card information on file once your order is charged in the first place. Just call us or proceed through the product page and order the item with a note in the comments section ' reorder, no need for proof'.

If we have difficulty locating your order we will contact you, but if we have the order we will immediately proceed to printing.

Can I make changes to reordered items?

If you decide to change the text in anyway, color or font, photographs or position of photos or text, it becomes a new order and expect a new proof. 

How long does it take to receive a reorder?

Because a reorder does not need to be proofed you will save about 2 business days off the processing time. The order still has to go through the printing process so it will take 5-7 business days (photocards 14 days and orders over 500, 14 days). However, if you make changes to the order, then expect the proofing time consisting of about 2 business days.

Can I reorder envelopes only? Can I order just the cards?

Yes, you are welcome to order just envelopes or the cards separately, but for quicker service please contact us via phone at 919.848.4255 or 866.676.2247 to place this order. You can also email us your order through paper@cidpear.com

What should I keep in mind for when I place my reorder?

Please note that your final print colors may vary slightly from your original order due to regular press calibrations and natural variations in paper stock. As a result, we cannot guarantee an exact color match for orders printed on different dates for the same item, or for items sharing the same color palette.

Using our Card Customizer

How do I create a personalized card?

Our simple online ordering system makes it easy to personalize and preview your cards before completing your order to ensure that everything is to your liking... Click on any of our stationery products, you will go directly to that item's product page. Once there, you can find all of that product's information, when you select 'Customize" you will proceed to a page with a blank card and box(es) for editing text, changing fonts, position of the text and ink colors. It's that easy! Go on give it a try... it's sort of addictive.

What is a motif?

We call Tina's little characters and florals motifs. You can add a motif to your return address, printing inside your card if a foldover. Usually the motif is the same one featured on the front of the card or our designers will offer alternative coordinating motifs for you to choose from. There is a nominal fee for adding a motif, see our pricing options.


What are the customization options and how much do they cost?

You can change the font size, color and typeface during the personalization process. If a color that you prefer is not available through the personalization process, you can request a customization change for a fee of $15 (this fee includes a complimentary digital proof) per color. Please contact our customer representative to confirm the color in a CMYK or pantone color value. For more information on customization changes that you can request, please refer to our Terms of Services.

If you'd like to submit text or names in a language other than English, or if you'd like to add a personal crest to your design, please submit this information in an EPS, PDF or AI file with the text aligned as you would like to see it printed on your cards. We cannot accept Microsoft Word documents for this type of project due to licensing restrictions. All of these types of files will be evaluated by our professional designers on a case-by-case basis. Can I change a design I like to a different format, size than it's offered in?

No, we cannot alter the card to a different size and/or format that is not already provided.


How do I change the wording?

  • After you have clicked "Customize Now" on any product page, a smaller window will launch with your selected design and dotted textblocks which are pre-formatted with text or simply say 'enter text here'.  Select the text  by highlighting it with your mouse cursor (you'll know it's selected when the text is highlighted with a black background).  Then you can begin typing in your text as you would with any other text editor. Use your "Enter" key to create line breaks, delete key to remove text and your arrow keys to move around within the textblock.

Can I change the fonts and colors?

  • Yes!  We encourage you to use the Card Customizer to visualize different font and color combinations.  Select the text you want to change by highlighting it with your mouse cursor.  You can then use the dropdown menus along the top of the Customizer (Font Name, Size, Color and Alignment) to alter your text.  Once you are pleased with the look and layout of your card you can enter your initials in the "Initial to approve" box and proceed with your order placement.

Is there a charge for using multiple ink colors and fonts?

•  There is no charge for multiple ink colors or fonts on the same card. If it appears that you have requested too many fonts and colors, we may offer an alternative. A design recommendation is to select up to two (maybe 3 fonts) that coordinate with eachother in scale and type. For instance use a scrolly font with one straight looking font. Eddy font and DingleBee, Samantha and Bob are nice compliements.

I want to add a line on my RSVP Card.  How do I do this?

  • You can create a line by using the "underscore" key on your keyboard.  Use as many as you need to create the length of line required.   When your order is received, a designer will review your wording and replace underscores with a graphical line suitable for print.

I keep getting an error message when I visit your site.  Please help!

  • This website relies on Web 2.0 technologies such as JavaScript, AJAX, DHTML and CSS.  If you have your browser settings configured to suppress any of these technologies, you may receive an error message.  Your browser may prompt you to allow our website access to these controls, and we encourage you to do so for complete access to this site. 

    The Card Customizer requires that you have the latest Flash player installed.  It's free and easy to install, click here to get the plug-in.

I made edits to a card and I want to save it and continue later – how do I do this?

  • Once you have made edits to a card and added it to your Cart, the system will remember your settings and will automatically re-populate a personalized card when you access it by clicking "Edit" on the item from your Cart. 

If I add text to the text area, it shifts up or disappears.  What’s wrong?

  • It's possible that you have added extra line breaks (by hitting the "Enter" key), or you may have selected a font name or font size that caused your text to expand out of the viewable area.  If this happens, click within the textblock and use your up or down arrows to scroll through the text.  

I want to copy or paste text in the dotted text area.  How do I do this?

  • To copy text from a textblock, select the text you want, then right-click to bring up the context menu.  You'll see an option Copy - choose this and your text will be added to your system's clipboard.  You can paste that text elsewhere on your computer.  Alternatively, you can copy text to your clipboard from another source and select the Paste option (using the same method as above) to add text to a textblock.

I want to add more lines of text to my Card, but the text disappears from the dotted text area.  How do I add more text?

  • Each textblock can be moved or resized.  To move a textblock, click and hold the "four-arrow" icon at the top-left of each block.  This will allow you to move it anywhere within the workspace.  If you want to scale a textblock to be longer, or wider, simply use your mouse to hover over one of three sides of the block:  the right side, the bottom-right corner, or the bottom side.  When you hover over any of these sides, the mouse cursor will change from the normal "pointer" to a double-sided black arrow. This means you can resize the textblock by clicking and holding the dotted edges of the block.  Release the mouse cursor when you reach the desired size.  This will give you additional space within the textblock to add more text. 

I see the dotted textblocks but there is no text showing - how can I change this?

  • The Card Customizer can take a moment or two to load text and font options into the work area.  Please allow the Customizer to fully load.  If you can see text in some textblocks but not others, this indicates you are viewing a template that has extra (blank) textblocks included.  To add text to a blank textblock, first click on the textblock you wish to edit, then select your Font Name, Font Size, and finally the Font Color.  You can then start typing into the textblock.

I don’t want to format the text myself.  Can you do it for me?

  • Sure that's what we are here for! For no extra fee we'd be glad to typeset and design your stationery for you. Select your stationery and in comments tell us you'd rather us proof your card for you. We will be in contact via phone and email to get your text and specifications, and we will move on from there.

How can I add all of my guests’ names to the placecard template in the Card Customizer?

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer printing of individual guest names on placecards.  Any text you include for the placecards will be printed on ALL of the placecards.  We recommend you choose something generic like "Table Number" or "Names" and fill in the individual information by hand.  Alternatively, some home inkjet printers can accept small cards, so you may be able to print the names on each card yourself (depends on the printer).

What if I need to make changes after I have approved the text & submitted my order?

  • Once you have submitted your order, your wording and customizations will be reviewed by a designer.  Within 1-2 business days, you will receive an email with a copy of your final design proof.  We will request a final approval from you before we proceed with printing, or advise you of any recommended changes (if required).  Either way, you will have one opportunity to request changes before your order is sent to print.  



Pre-shipped envelopes & Mailing Service  


Can I get my envelopes ahead of my stationery?

Absolutely, we can offer this to you but we have to charge shipping for your preshipped envelopes. Please request this in your order comment box.


Payment method

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.    Our shopping cart and checkout will charge your card once you have confirmed your order.

 

How do I redeem a coupon code?

At checkout use your coupon code where asked. It will calculate your discount on your order. If it is a stationery only coupon code it will deduct from stationery total only.

 

How do I use my gift certificate?

Simply insert the code into the coupon code field and it will credit your checkout by the amount of your gift certificate.. 

 

How do I purchase a gift certificate?

We have a gift certificate order page, simply select your options and proceed to checkout.


Shipping & Handling   

How do you ship?

We use Fedex ground and expedited services and we use the US Postal Service, USPS. Specify ground, expedited including overnight.

It is standard for us to ship ground free of charge within the continental United States. This may change in the future but for now it is our pleasure to ship to you free of charge. This excludes any expedited shipping or International shipping orders, and excludes Alaska and Hawaii, sorry!

What if I order 2 items from stationery and one from jewelry?

These 2 items come from different departments and will most likely ship separately. We will try to include everything in one shipment but in order to prepare and pack your items so as to prevent damage, we would use more than one box.

 


 


Gift Certificates 

Do you offer Gift Certificates?

We do offer gift certificates for any category. Just contact us or go to the Gift Certificate Order Page and add it to your cart. We can supply an email gift certificate and we can print one for your recipient, just give us the details, we wrap it ina pretty envelope with a gift message from you! It's that simple. Returns 

 

How do Returns work?

You can request a refund under the following circumstances:

a) If your order is a stock blank product (not custom printed) and the item is still at our production facility (ie: it hasn't shipped yet).

b) If you have placed a custom printed order, and the order is still in "Processing" (usually within 1 business day of placing the order). Once the order has been updated to "In Production", however, this means your final approval has been accepted and we have started print production. We do not refund orders once they have been sent to print.

c) If you receive a product that is different from your approved proof, or if the item was damaged in transit, we will do whatever we can to find an agreeable solution between you, us and/or or the delivery carrier.

It is also important to note that we will not offer refunds based on color, print process, or paper stock. We highly recommend that you order a sample from your  so that you can evaluate these characteristics in advance of making your purchase.

d) The apparel you purchased for your child does not fit or is completely what you did not expect. We want you to be happy so we will gladly accept a return and hopefully you love the garment so much you will only be exchanging for a different size.

e) Jewelry returns are complicated and they are packed very carefully prior to shipping. It would be a carrier incident if the goods arrived damaged. Saying this things happen, and we want you to be happy so we would gladly exchange or refund if you are not satisfied.

f) Pillows are made to order and we want you to love your purchase but in the case of a color problem, or a damaged pillow again we can exchange or accept refunding you if you are not satisfied.

g) We can not take returns on cut fabric or sewing patterns.
